The Future is Ours

 

            Our age has acquired many titles: the age of anxiety, the age of automation, the atomic age, the space age, but nobody has suggested that ours is an age of thinking. All that we are is the result of what we have thought. So it is important how to think. These days people all need to think positively to be more successful, healthier, and more confident. Positive thinking is a belief wherein people and events are inherently good, and positive side of things is seen.

             Positive thinking leads to greater self-esteem. One who thinks positively expects the best of life and that is exactly what they get. Optimists tend to make more risks, and blame external circumstances if they fail, and failure never discourages them from trying again, this makes them more likely to succeed in the future, and less upset by failure. On the other hand, pessimists tend to blame themselves when things go wrong, they become more reluctant to try again, and they usually expect the worst.

             Positive thinking is the main ingredient for success. In fact positive thinking and personal achievement are two sides of one coin. When you decide to achieve a goal, every part of you prepares to help you achieve it. But as soon as you think you cannot possibly succeed, every cell in your body will be deflated and give up the fight and everything really will move in the direction of failure. 

             Positive thinking not only changes our mind, but also affects our health. According to the researches, optimists have higher levels of disease-fighting cell activity, and also suffer less from stress. A positive attitude helps people to cope better with stress, which can be harmful to the body. Less stress can help people live long, recover faster from injuries and illness, and reduces death from heart disease.

             On the whole, positive thinking does not mean overestimating our abilities or assuming that everything will come easily if we just believe that we deserve it enough. Power of positive thinking is about having a healthy self-esteem and learning to recognize obstacles as challenges that we can overcome. There are some simple ways to develop our positive attitude, such as: walk, swim, or engage in some physical activities.
